You can't resize normal objects, only the ones on your character.

"Toys", yuck. Adding options to add apparel to your character is cool, making it so that it doesn't drop on death however would reduce the ability of having players run clothing stores as a business in the future seeing as people won't be coming back for more. Just something to think about.
