Sup guys, it's been a good 10-11 years, I started playing SZR early 2009. I tried to randomly get on this site again today and it's actually up to my amazement! I attempted to get on this website a few years ago but the site was always down so I assumed that would be the case forever. :staredog:

Hope everyone's been doing good and hanging in there, life is definitely a lot more different than I imagined it would be 10 years ago, as it is when you're young, one odd thing that you also definitely and eerily notice now many years later, is the realistic similarities that existed with corrupt cops in SZR as in real life that we see going on in the US :cripes:

Is the SZR SAMP server even a thing anymore? SAMP in general? It would be cool to reconnect with old people such as from Yakuza, Pinoy, Bear/Turdgang, 36th Street, Mafia, it's hard to remember everyone and all of the families, I know we used Xfire back then and Ventrilo, but everything after that is blank, I suffered a good bit of memory loss due to an accident, I've been able to remember a good chunk in the last few years, but a lot is gone and it'll probably never come back at this point, but I recently watched some SZR videos again and I've also kept a good amount of recordings in SZR on my hard drives all of these years which also helped a lot, I hanged on to it just for nostalgia and memories. I remember the MagC war with the whole server at war at one point, same when the whole server was warring a few of us in Ballas lol, just hope everyone that's still around has been doing good.

A few people I've been able to remember from Yakuza were, Satoru, Kaze Catsoup, Hajima, Roy Williams from 36th St, Heath Ledger and Steven from Pinoy, Karl Bud from Ballas because who could forget him?
Elmer_Fudd was someone I knew before SZR in another game that I coincidentally one day found out that he also played SAMP & SZR and was in the police in SZR.

Is Chris Bell still around? I still have his MagC album on my PC lol, then there was Latoya and her sister.

last but not least the admins obviously, Bruno, Rachel, and I know there were a few others, someone had a yellow name too.

There was someone in Beargang local to me back then, maybe a 10 mile radius, I know there were a lot more people I can't remember, I definitely have snippets of memories with their characters though or name color and skin as odd as that sounds, a lot of the names on this forum look familiar too.

It seems a few people have also passed away since that era  hopefully not many, I came across a video today of Rosco Flatts funeral? I'm not aware of what happened, but it's pretty sad to know some people are gone that you played with at one point and were apart of you in a sense, I also looked at a post of someone else that passed on the forums, and another one of the players I knew before SZR/SAMP (that also played SZR with me) that passed away was one of my best friends, and it's pretty rough when you don't remember the details of what happened.

There were definitely issues with the community, I share some of that blame, and there were admin explosions, random name changes, getting fined for being too straight, and hilarious shenanigans but I think that's what kept us all together back then, everyone had fun at the end of the day in one way or another, admin events and bus rides with the whole server was definitely entertaining :smug: , that era in my life was honestly one of the very few times in my life that I genuinely enjoyed something and everything about it, life was a lot more simple and worry free back then. From what I remember, everyone basically knew who everyone was ingame that was in every family, random player without a family, admins, etc, which was great, even with considering some people didn't get along, it definitely was a unique tight knit community that I miss, and who could forget the ammunation shark lol :neck: , if I could go back in time and re-live the SAMP era, I'd definitely do it again, what about you guys?

How have all of you been? Where has life taken you guys? Have any of you relocated to opposite sides of the world? I plan to permanently relocate 6300 miles away sometime this year if all goes well.
How much has life changed when you think back to the old simple days? In my case it definitely did a lot to an unimaginable extent and nostalgia is a bitter feeling, I'm grateful however for the experiences that I'm able to remember that I've had on SAMP with everyone in SZR.

Here's to wishing for a better decade to come and good health for all of us. ♥

LOL I remembered my login info. Hey yall hope everyone is doing well. I remember being an obscure player so I'm not surprised if anyone doesn't remember, had lots of different accounts but mostly David York with Satan's Serpents and whatever biker gang there was before that and other short lived families.. What a fun chapter of my late teens, lots of memories. If anyone wants to connect you can find me on Twitch @ T_R_i_X I watch a lot of FiveM streams mostly NoPixel.

There used to be a wiki written in the rich detail only the conquerors of war could achieve.

where is rachael? I don't know about you but I think the goon and overall shitstorm of szr was really adequate to the salacious, morbid, vicarious, ironic and often crude theme of a fictional LA from the point of view of internet manchildren shooting internet idiots.

Without the wiki it's like it all amount to nothing. only memories of youth, me basically learning the language as I played, getting to fit in a group I could rely on based mostly in that we shared the same enemies, people I could trust leading from the same disgust of lame bitches with no content. But that was it, some took it too seriously, some tried to seem unaffected, most were puberts-diaperheads, some were people with nothing better to do, cause' there was always something interesting in that taxi doing strange and violent stuff on the server, or the language barrier and hilarious mistranslations. Maybe it was even a way to deplete our racism, segregating tendencies due to the struggles of real life. It was the element of surprise and exhausted sincerity no other dumb server could deliver. all the grief was well deserved, glad I survived to comeback. It was real.

and the ones who lost the game were those taking it seriously. damn.

I think the wiki would have been the only legacy to it, if only Mkr was still around. :cripes:
