Fix the SFPR
Yeah, I am probably just raging, but it is actually pretty retarded how someone can outbid you at the last second from a different timezone. I would have easily raised the bid to over a million in my case, but the other dude got it for a simple $210,000 instead.
My suggestion is to just make it to where the auction ends a day after the last bid was placed, not on a fixed time. It's as simple as that.

Re: Fix the SFPR
Then bids will never end. Example.
Hour 1: I bid 200,000$
Hour 47: Person B bids 210,000$
Time reset! Hour 1 again!: I bid 220,000$
47 hours later: Person B bids 230,000$!!!!!!!!!
wash rinse and repeat for weeks.

But the point is to at least let the guy who made the thread has a chance at getting the property he wants....... maybe make the minimum bid 10% higher than the last.

But you cant see other peoples timezone without looking into their profile, and timezones can be confusing to a lot of people.

Re: Fix the SFPR
That was the property, and I was outbid at like 2am when it ended at 4am. Ronnie DiFrenzo won it.
I would just say right now that I offered Ronnie over a million for the property, and he was not interested, so I would have not won the property anyways. But the problem still exists.

Take over the job of running the shit then if you hate the job he's doing. It's him or no SFPR.
Re: Fix the SFPR
It's 48 hours and always has been, if it kept resetting people would go bankrupt that doesn't make any sense. My claim hasn't even been responded to in four days so welp. He's on top of it.

Re: Fix the SFPR
the LSPR was originally introduced when houses were dynamic, to solve arguments between players who "bought" the same house ( ie same entrance ). They could purchase the property and have the other player kicked out or whatever.
Now that houses are static, I really can't see the need for LSPR, or SFPR at all. If you want to live in a house, you rent the house ingame.
( ps. house sales are disabled still, while this issue and some others gets sorted out )

Re: Fix the SFPR
The only use I see for the SFPR is requesting a building to be coded in so we could rent/buy it. In which case you could charge the person a fee for making you add it.

Re: Fix the SFPR
Yeah, I thought we had to own the building in the property registry to buy a house for it, but if I understood you correctly, we can't buy interiors as of right now, so I kind of feel like a dumb ass.
Re: Fix the SFPR
I don't feel like making custom interiors for individuals this time, it leads to saturation of the house market.
If people have any ideas for houses or interiors they can probably still use this forum, but there will be no "hay make me a house" threads.

I bought a custom house from nurgle for like 500k back in carson[and then 1.8mils to actually buy it] until it was accidentally deleted because the main street was full of houses/lag. Got it back later from Rach with a different interior and a lot smaller value but i don't give a shit because we moved and wipe is coming and stuff.
Where i am going with this is that sometimes houses are made custom but really now, we changed the system because everyone had houses anywhere and now yall want the same?

Re: Fix the SFPR
update: no houses are for sale
if you want to buy a house make a thread here, and darnell can deal with the bidding. The price starts at the value of the house in the game
The winner will be accompanied by a roleplay real estate agent whowoll supervise the purchase.
jobs done.

Re: Fix the SFPR
its /house buy
no you can't just buy a house anymore, you have to go through a real estate agent ( ie forum post a purchase application )
There are 17 houses and over 500 players so this is the best way to do it.

Re: Fix the SFPR
Why not the old /house buy system, it seems a tad unfair to have so few houses. There's easily enough houses for each player using that system, and when people get bitchy over one particular house they can use SFPR as a recourse.Rachael wrote:its /house buy

Re: Fix the SFPR
The old system of having houses seemed a lot simpler than this new thing, and caused a lot less arguments. Why not just bring back /buy house entrance?

Re: Fix the SFPR
The whole point of the new system is to have a money sink I would believe.... you have to pay ~500k for the property and than ~$2mil for a low level interior. It allows players to "invest" in the real estate market.
