TuT: How to play your own music in San Andreas

Post by John_Spicer »

1. Download music or get it from a CD.
2. When you have the music place it to the C:\Documents and Settings\Joeri\My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files
3. Then start your San Andreas or SA-MP go to Audio Options and then User Track Options.
4. Then ''Scan User Tracks''.
5. Get in a car and scroll to the User Track Player and lissen to your own music!

Actually, making shortcuts to the songs instead of actually putting them in the user tracks folder will save you some space, or possibly the trouble of having all your music in a dumb GTA folder.

It is worth mentioning that making a shortcut to a directory worked for me too. So all my music is in M:\Music, and a single shortcut to that folder seems to have added all my songs.

Oh wow, I did not know that. Glad to hear it. I love the GTA IV and 3 music. Makes SA a whole lot better.

I have over 200 songs in that map there
But if i was you i would change some buttons...
for example: user track player skip = normaly f5
When you are driving, its anoying to press f5
So i suggest you put instead of f5 RMB.
And the thing thats normally on RMB, change that and put f5 on it
(its something with camera i thought)

tell me, where's the GTA SA folder on Vista? cause i dont seem to have it...
i have 80 gigabytes of music... will that all be fit into the game? erm...
its not all in one folder either... its in a folder called "All Music" Then separated into artist names\band names then again into albums... will it detect them all?
