How to kick?

I occasionally get into fistfights with other people,and rather then punch-punch-punch.They punch-kick(knockdown),and stomp stomp stomp.How exactly does one kick?Or is it only attained by having a high boxing level?

if you hold right click when lookin at the dude you then tap either f or enter and it will kick
