Job Location: Somewhere close to the police station I suppose.
Job Idea: You'll be able to get this Bomber job from some sketchy place that should, imo, be in relatively close proximity to the police station. (Maybe just because it's ironic, but it seems to fit.) You'll be able to get material to make different bombs from a system almost exactly like the arms dealer system, or guns and bombs should even use the same materials, hm, and the bombs you'll be able to create and use will scale similar to the arms dealer system.
Anyway, when you choose to make a certain type of bomb, it'll take 5-10 minutes to make it, (depending on the level of bomb,) and use a varying amount of mats. Levels go up by the amount of bombs made. ("You need to make 49 more bombs to reach level 2!")
The chart below is approximately what I think would be good, and assumes guns and bombs share mats:
- Level 1 Bomber: Small Bomb - 5 Minutes - 500A
The small bomb creates an explosion the size of a car exploding with equal damage. You can rig it to explode from 10-60 seconds. - Level 2 Bomber: Bomb - 6 Minutes - 500A 200B
The normal bomb creates an explosion about 50% larger than a normal car explosion, with a bit less damage. You can rig it to explode from 10-60 seconds. - Level 3 Bomber: Motion Bomb - 7 Minutes - 500A 500B 200C
A motion bomb goes off when a player or car comes near it and creates an explosion the size of a car exploding, with a maximum damage of about 80% of max health. In other words, if you've got full health and no armour, you won't die. If you've got no armor and 60% health, you may die, depending on how close to the explosion's center you are. Given that this bomb won't kill people with full health, it's less likely to be abused and must be used strategically. - Level 4 Bomber: Remote Bomb - 8 Minutes - 500A 500B 500C
The remote bomb creates an explosion about 50% larger than a normal car explosion, with a bit less damage. - Level 5 Bomber: Dirty Bomb - 10 Minutes - 1000A 500B 1000C
The dirty bomb creates an explosion about 50% larger than a normal car explosion, with a bit less damage. Anyone caught in it's blast will receive a radiation poisoning sickness which is fairly deadly if not treated quickly but can be removed like any other common disease.
Also, Bombers can do /carbomb <time>. Each level of Bomber gives them another 5 seconds to the maximum amount of time before the car they set to explode goes off. Minimum is 5 seconds. (For instance, a level one Bomber's carbomb will be 5 seconds. A level two will be 5-10 seconds, a level three will be 5-15 seconds, and so on. With more levels come more options.) You can carbomb every five minutes and it costs no mats.
Also, any Bomber can /diffuse any bomb that they're right next to.
There would be an inventory slot, similar to a lottery ticket or mats or something like that, for whatever bomb you make. From there, you can do like /placebomb and the <time> if applicable. Bombs CAN'T be transferred, and CAN be dumped.
Anyway, this is just an idea in progress, am I missing anything? Also, the only problem I see is preventing noobs from bombing events, other than just that the best bombs are hard to get because it takes a long time to level. I also thought about suicide bombing but I think that would be too easily abused.
