Need some clarification on the housing system.

1) How do you know which house/area is still available or not.

If by available, you mean able to place your house there, anywhere works.

2) How many levels of houses are there and does the level have any other significance then the sheer size of the house alone?

Buying a larger leveled house gives you higher interest. When you start the game, you have an interest rate of 0.3, it can get up to 0.5.

3) Do I have to purchase a lvl 1 house in order to advance to a lvl 2 house?

No. But your characters level does have to be the same or higher then the house level.

4) Can I late sell my house If I dont feel the need for it anymore? If so would it be to a player or npc what kinda returns do I get on my investment?

For each level of the house you have, you lose 10k. A level 1 house costs 50k to buy, sell it and you get 40k. At a level 2 house, it costs 100k, and you lose 20k, etc.

Thanks Vice, one last thing... how do I know that someones not already occupying the place im trying to take?

As far as I know, if someone is, it won't matter. You'll just have your own house with the entrance on the same spot. Instanced domiciles, essentially.

You can usually tell if there is a car spawning near that spot.

none of t he "houses" in the game have pre-set interiors. you're basically choosing where to set down a teleporter that takes you to a housing interior specifically loaded up for you.

if it's not near a physical representation of a house in the game, it'll get deleted for not being RP, and you won't get your money back. you're not entering the actual "house" that you put your door near though.

Which means that if two people have the same interior they can meet inside their house, even though they don't even know each other, or has anything to do with them

And then I can choose my house interior to be the pig pen, everytime I enter my house I go to the pig pen and then, BALLAS KILLNG TIME!
