How to increase server population.

Three words: Make it hosted. Making a server hosted allows it to be on a seperate tab of servers in Sa:Mp, rather than Favorites or Internet.

This however, costs money, I am not sure on the exact cost, and I will look for the info and update this post, so keep an eye on this post!

Now, the benefits of having a "hosted" server.



There are very few (144 at the moment) servers that use this advertisement method. If you compare that to the thousands that don't, you are at a much higher percent chance of catching someones eye, ESPECIALLY considering how few servers actually have some population in them (maybe 30 max).

As you can see, the servers that have over 100 population constantly, use the "hosted" method. This proves how much this really does work.

I propose to you now, that we use this advertising technique, but only through donations (I.E. when the donation account gets over the amount required per month, we sign up for one month of it) so that no one will be attatching a card and be spending money monthly. I was going to create a paypal account and give the server owner the info, but I figured that people would be afraid that i would just steal the donations, so I will leave it up to an admin (do NOT donate to any paypal account posted here, besides those posted by admins). If you feel like you want more population, give the paypal account a donation!

Also, another forum of advertisment is the Official Sa:Mp advertisement thread, but make sure to follow their forum rules! (No more than one thread per month!)

Also the host of the cost is way to much than the natural cost so I think we leave it as it is.

this assumes we want a super-high server population. we had the server population get as high as 120 a few years back and all it did was increase the number of retards and led to someone ddosing us.

And i thought i also made it pretty clear, we wouldnt keep it hosted, we would only do it when the donations have reached the ammount, it will be hosted for a month, and people will have favorited it by then.

Actually, the last paypal account for server donations was brunos, the new owner doesn't have one. Nurgle, as i have stated, no one would be linking a card, just PURELY donations, it may get over 12.5 euros once a year, but in that month, people will find the server and favorite it.

Well it's hard to find new members, since most of the addicted roleplayers or ''rpes'' are on sa rp (fake and the ''original'') and on GAY ENCOUNTERS IN BATHROOMS. My opinion is that one good advertise with efford, on samp forums, will bring some players. Also don't forget that szr is not that much ''friendly'' with them new playas. But is just my opinion.
Ps: We can ''hit and steal'' some members from the small communities out there (red country, universal rp etc.)
