I'm getting off my arse to do some n00b guides but can do them in two formats, either video or text and pictures.

video - idiots can understand it, shows exactly what to do because it's physically being done. Would either be on youtube or hosted on szr. Possibly both. But if something is changed I have to remake and upload an entire video again which is a bit gay.

text/pictures - Can be more detailed, pictures will be fairly clear. Can be easily updated and changed as things change.

Which is preferred?

Basics in videos, and back them up with (short) text guides.

Yea but he'd have to export it again, then upload it again.

I say text and pictures because we really don't need anyone who can't read on SZR. Although videos may be useful for the people who just can't quite get it, I think text/pictures gets the job done with less hassle.

Pictures due to being a bit more easy, and can always be updated.

I think a short written guide would be best, and then a solid 3-4 minute video like the one Primaris, I think, made. Basically just a basic overview in the video, and give them a link for all the text/pictures guides.

You really don't need much more than showing where a job is on the map and explaining just the basics. People can figure out the rest

I've been working on a guide myself and it's a pain in the ass. I find just basic pictures and descriptions are best.

I think a video would be more useful, newbs who dont know where anything is on the map might not be able to find dropcar or the pier or where do get matts and dropoff matts, i think making a video and going on your map and clicking where the pier is and to label where it is and then go there would help them know where it is, same with dropcar-matt pickup/drop-etc, pics would work with this to also, but i think a video would be easier on you and more understandable for the newbs, ill be wiling to help this video or doing it for you if you need me too.
