Gang Description:
The National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam, or the 'Viet Cong', are a political and military group whose origin dates back to 1941, when Rho Chi Minh, a Communist scholar, formed the Viet Minh to fight for Vietnamese independence from France. On the second of November, 1945, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, known as North Vietnam to differentiate from Allied-controlled Republic of Vietnam, or South Vietnam, was established.

When the Vietnam War launched in 1955, the Viet Minh trickled down into South Vietnam under a new name; the Viet Cong. These militants engaged in brutal guerrilla warfare with the premier military power in the world; The United States of America. After 20 years of bloody fighting and over one million Viet Cong fatalities, the Cong emerged victorious; South Vietnam was liberated from the shackles of capitalist oppression, and joined in true harmony with its brother, North Vietnam as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under our glorious leader, Rho Chi Minh.

Frens! Comrades! You have seen the atrocities committed by the GIs! Now is your chance to strike back at the roundeyes! The Viet Cong is recruiting new marines to engage the enemy in his own turf! Finally, the oppertunity to exact just revenege against the GIs! Remember My Lai! Remember your frens, comrades, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins murdered wrongly by the roundeye GI scum!

Why?: During the Old Cong's reign on the server, enemies were crushed in their wake. During our new, short, stint of play on the server, we have honored the past by crushing all enemies who dared stand against us. In only a day we forced the mighty Magnolia Crew to concede defeat in the face of our honorable combatants. Regardless of our warmonging tenancies, we are all capable of roleplaying if the opportunity presents itself, and we will pursue these opportunities to enrich our experiences and that of others.

Basically, we're a fun break from some of the generic, whiny gangs that currently populate the server. Our gang is made up of old school congs and new frens.
