New Car spawn discussion

Some of the current cars on the server are balls. Some are used by Some aren't used at all.
Here's a list of one that really do need to be removed:
SWAT Van
SWAT Truck
Rumpo
Sultan
Sand King
Walton (Mexican picker truck)
Journey (Camper)
The other truck at Dropcar
The shittiest of the PD cruisers
The LSPD Motorcycle

Here's a list of 4 doors that we thought were the "best" out of the lot we tested
Premier
Vincent
Regina
Landstalker
Intruder

Here's some cars which would probably need there to be more spawns of
Buccaneers

So we got 4 or 5 cars to screw around with adding still.

there's 71 types but they don't (and can't) all spawn at once, there is a chunk of code that picks a few types randomly and uses them to populate the vehicle spawns around the city (basically everything that's not a faction spawn)

Could remove the Romero from the legacy code entirely, I don't know why that is on.

Cars that should go
Sultan - Faggot griefer car most of the time. Only a few people actually aren't assholes with this.
Enforcer - Just free armor for the cops.
LVPD Car - YAY MAX SPEED. Handling = shit, and acceleration sucks too.
Rancher - Seriously who uses these? Add patriots instead and mask the car LEO only ( still is I think haha ).
Sunrises - Ya grove sorry, no uniqe cars for you! add patriots instead.
Shitty 2 door cars - zr350 i look at you
Pickup Truck - Who the fuck drives these?

After looking back at this, there's a couple changes I'd like to make.

The majority of the cop cars should stay, except for the enforcer.
The rumpo should still go as its primarily a "get me to the nearest fast car" type car.
The one off spawns in Dillimore need to fuck right off (Camper)
The farming truck (Walton) should probably stay to reinforce the hick stereotype of the Minutemen.
Either the Bucanneers need to be allowed for more than one civillian spawn, or they need to be removed entire. None of the FBI actually use them because we have no FBI, and previously they just used the cheetah anyways.
The Nebula should probably be removed as nobody likes driving that piece of crap.
Romero needs to be removed from the legacy code entirely so that it can only be spawned by admins because fuck driving hearses.
Why is ZR350 in the list twice?
The Hermes is in the spawn list exactly once, by one of the old mat factories.
The alpha is never used, either in car spawns, or by players as their personal house car. Most opt for faster cars.
Why is the phoenix on the list twice?
Karts are utterly balls as they are usually out of stock and impossible to kill lag slam machines.

I agree that Enforcer needs to go. And as long as Sultan and Alphas are kept in as housecars, take them out of the spawn pool. Don't get rid of the Yankees by dropcar. :(

- As much as I love offroading in the Sandking, I think it should go, or put in only as a housecar choice.
- The group of Glendale's across from the News Station, which I suppose was an old HQ should go.
- Sultan's should be restricted only as house cars.

- I think Sabre's would be a good addition, they handle fine for me and look alot better then Clover's
- Hermes would also be a good idea for the Mexican area.
- Also consider the Slamvan and Tornado. Just because you can put them in the mod shop.

- Lastly for all those mat runners. From R3 we can now use either rail on train tracks if I'm not mistaken, so why not add a Tram with a /enter feature. =O

Trams are horrible, horrible, horrible devices which crash the server. Also the slamvan was in the game, but we removed it because it was frankly an annoying vehicle to drive.

Spawn more Buccaneers, not just the one civ in Los Santos, or make it available for ones house car.

We are missing some of the nice lowriders too I think.. which would liven up the list.

Admin-spawning vehicles causes crashes, not the vehicles themselves. Especially when the tram is spawned on the damn railroad.

But yeah, trams and trains would be horrible.

i dont know anything about the car varieties (except for the fact that there are a good few underrated four-doors out there) but if nothing else the FBI needs its vehicles cut by two thirds at minimum. as one of the smallest factions in the game (if not THE smallest), it makes no sense for them to be shitting up the server with a fleet double the size of the cops and triple the size of everyone else's. case in point: there are 15 vehicles visible in the FBI parking garage. removing two thirds of those would leave 5, which would still be more than enough as i've never seen five FBI agents online at any time ever.

uhhhh as for vehicles, if you guys really took superbikes out for the grief potential i'd consider removing the sultan on the same grounds too, as it's basically gangbanging on easy mode. i hereby nominate that late-model scooter if people were jonesing for more shitty bike variety.

If we wanted to remove cars completely for grief potential then every fast car would be removed (hi Bonez). The good thing about Sultans is we can just remove them from all the other spawns.

At some point it might be possible for the higher up admins to spawn a couple of the other cars to allow us to test them. We did that a while back.
