it says ''hotwire target not found'' after a while

i barely managed to break a level 1 lock in 10 minutes with someone helping me just to find out the locks won't go lower than level 1

someone take some screens so I can work out why its not behaving
particularly ss any countdowns or messages saying "you are too far from the vehicle"
