History
The Red Mob refers to organized crime syndicates which originate from the former USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). This includes Russia and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). Organized crime existed in Russia since the days of the Tsars and Imperial Russia in the form of banditry and thievery, known as Vory v zakone or "thieves in law". The Revolution was the time when these armed gangs really rose to power and became a factor in Russian society but after the Revolution and during the Stalin regime the secret police almost destroyed the Russian underworld. The Vory however still lived on in Stalin’s prison camps or Gulags where they formed a society of mutual support, where they also adopted a system of collective responsibility and a swearing code of no cooperation of silence of rejection of honor and of brotherhood. The Vory ruled in the dark gaps of Russian society far from the reaches of the KGB. The communists ruled Russian society but the Vory monopolized crime.
In the 1990s the Soviet Union collapsed an economic disaster soon followed and not long after mass emigration. Former KGB agents, soldiers from all over the fallen Soviet Union, sportsmen and veterans of the Afghan and Chechen Wars all found themselves out of work and so were forced into a life of crime. Many of them later joined the emigration wave to the US and other countries to look for better opportunities. When many Russians in the US did not find what they were looking for they also moved to a life of crime joining the already quite established Vory. These continuers of the of the Russian tradition call themselves The Red Mob because they hold tight to their traditions and code of honor which originate from their roots in the Russian Gulags and from the dark shadow of the Soviet rule.
In today's Los Santos The Red Mob has set up operations in the area of Commerce, in a place they call The Soviet Block. They are comprised of the civilian and criminal emigrants from the former Soviet as well as the new Russian American born generation. They are a brotherhood which puts high value on respect, loyalty and accountability. They stick together and are organized. They will do whatever it takes to ensure the survival of the Mob. When action is needed they do whatever, whenever to whoever.
((Vory – generally means thieves, it refers to members of the Russian mafia.))
Location
((This place is located under the highway leading to the airport. Far from all points. Just wanted to add, The Red Mob doesn't need all flashy HQ's, what we need is a safe house and a strategic location. Besides we are happy with our new base and anyways The Russian Mafia first made its appearance in the US in the slums of Brighton Beach, which was an emigrant filled area. Just one other thing, if safe houses are expensive and attractive they would attract the attention of the police very easily. To sum everything up we are very happy about our HQ and our nice expensive cars and houses are elsewhere.))
((The red square shows the approximate location of the base.))

Ranks
Vory are given title and recruited by higher ranking vory and in order to be accepted or promoted they must demonstrate considerable leadership skills, personal ability, intellect and charisma. Trustworthiness is another very important factor considered in recruiting or promoting. Once accepted a Vor must live according to the code.

The Thief’s Code
1. Loyalty to the Russkaya Mafiya – listen to your commanding Vor and follow his commands. Never reveal secret information to enemies, the law or any other untrustworthy person. Do not under any circumstances harm your fellow Vory. Follow The Thief’s Code and do not break it.
2. Breaking the Code – this must be reported to the Boss, the breaking of the code is a serious offense and can lead to serious consequences.
((Kicking out of the faction, death and so on))
3. Keep secret information – of dens, hideouts, meeting places, safe houses, operational plans and so on to yourself or to a Vor who can be trusted, which is usually an equal or higher ranking Vor.
4. A hit or attack– on another person must be performed within the knowledge and agreement of the highest available ranking Vor. A war on another faction can only be declared by the Boss.
((Only the Boss can declare an OFFICIAL war or target. This will be decided basically through the answering of these questions. Is the reason good enough? Is it considered DM? Is it worth doing? More or less give Respect get respect.))
((Stay out of trouble from the police, other factions or even civilians. You have a green light to fire on OFFICIAL targets, can be a specific person or faction. This rule includes no DMing; so no killing without reason, no chasing down of a person and killing them over and over again all day long (doesn’t mean that you cant chase them down a few times), no killing over really small insignificant reasons because that means you have no reason. If attacked you have a green light to retaliate but after tell a higher ranking member.))
((You can do whatever you want to make yourself some money but consider if you will make enemies. Try to make your operations as clean as possible without fights and making enemies))
((To avoid people reporting you as a DMer you should inform them that they messed with the wrong guys before you try to kill them or after you kill them. Still killing someone with insignificant reasons is not good.))
5. Help other Vory – by moral or material support. Teach the trade to young beginners in the organization.
6. A dispute between Vory – if not considered serious must be settled between oneself. If serious it can be brought to the higher ranking Vory. A dispute between Vory must not interfere with the operations carried out by the organization.
((Disputes will be settled in the private forums of the faction by a trusted arbitrator. Smaller things settle amongst yourselves.))
7. Make good on promises made to a fellow Vor – hold yourself to a deal or promise made to a fellow Vor.
8. Have command over the Fenya – know well the jargon of the thieves.
((Recruits will be given a small vocabulary on a bit of Russian to improve RP.))
((All of these rules are important for the faction but the breaking of a serious one will mean a warning or expulsion (usually counts for 1, 3, 4), proof is still needed and accidents or misunderstandings can be forgiven. For lesser rules there are no real consequences until it becomes a serious offense (usually 5, 6, 7, 8), serious offense meaning it is broken repeatedly and there is no sign of stopping or effort to follow it. another thing, this shouldn’t be mentioned because its very obvious but still, FOLLOW THE SERVER RULES.))
((We are quite organized and we will put our efforts into making this gang a success. Why me? First my gang has chosen me they will follow my lead. I think I myself am organized, I'm not being arrogant. I made recruiting rules, a logging table (showing who's on when), promoting rules, an organization chart, a Russian Mafia jargon reference (for RP), a list of Russian names, an application form which has to be filled out by members, I made an explanation of the ranks, I organized a chain of command, and some other stuff. If I posted all that stuff in here I think this thread would become too long so I kept them out and put in the general stuff.))
((I think our gang will be mixed in both field of RP and Fighting, I want to have a balance on both sides. Also in the field of recruiting we try to find level 4-5 who are generally more experienced but level 1's who show potential in RP or fighting also have a chance, we also try to find trustworthy people, we have a kind of filtering system but it still needs some improvement. If we are made official we can control our members more since if they screw up they wont be able to get back into the gang, unlike unofficial gangs. This is obvious and a bit stupid but I need to say it "WE WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE A REAL APPEARANCE ON THE SERVER, YEAY!".))

((New members coming soon. Waiting for the colors to be looked at. About the new skins 47 and 48, maybe some of you would say they are too Mexican but these can still be seen as Russian. Also just a reminder the mafia isn't always about suits and that stuff. That's more of a stereotype.))
