how come my radio is just static?

Whenever i turn the radio on all i can hear is static on every station

You have an pirate copy or you have installed it without radio. It's possible. Try re-installing it with FULL installation or just buy an original one.

I had the same problem, Leo is right, you have the pirated version.
Just download the full version.
