Residents in the area dislike the police and other authorities, and will preferably be in peace. They see Marina as their sanctuary and no one will come and ruin it for them. If that happens, they will be ready to take up the fight. The reason for this is that in 1998 were only a 16 year old Jamaican boy shot and found dead in a container behind Marina, port. The technical studies revealed that the boy died of a 3 shot in the head and 1 in the leg. It was a shotgun from the Los Santos police station, but none were suspects and convicted of murder. This created much debate in the media and the riots started in the district for several days.
The police denied they had anything to do with the murder. A few days after had Marina almost isolated from the rest of the city. For many years people did not hear from Rasta's until around the year 2009. The people knew that they were still in the area. Usually do Rasta's nothing unless they are provoked.
23. December 1991 – KINGSTON TOWN, JAMAICA
The day before Christmas Eve and police, in cooperation with the FBI, search a large abandoned warehouse in South Kingston. They have received an anonymous tip about the warehouse was a secret greenhouse for cannabis. And true enough, the warehouse was used for the production of cannabis and a few minutes later, all the leaders in a large Jamaican gang was arrested and sentenced to prison immediately. The group had no real name at the time, people knew who they were and the people of Kingston had no major problems with them. This was the largest case of cannabis smuggling into the U.S. for several centuries. And people in the group had become paranoid.
Summer of ’96
The group had been under pressure for several years now and needed new blood - new life. So one evening they held a meeting and it was agreed that they would create a group in San Andreas. It was their task to continue business there. A team of volunteers moves to San Andreas few weeks after the meeting and began to work and spread the word and make some money.
To hide from the police who they were and what they did, they created an association, an association of Rastafarians in San Andreas, better known as Jah Rastafarian.
Them Rastas became more and more powerful from every day, Jamaican people moved to the area in Marina, San Andreas and it quickly became a large Rastafarian community. There were also people who were not from Jamaica but would live this way or just missing (dirty) work and earn quick money.
In the neighborhood, there are different people with different backgrounds. But they all are always ready to take a stand against people who would destroy their peaceful community and their Business. Although they had only existed for a few years, people had got respect for them and knew where to go if they lacked a little tobacco to pipe a late Saturday evening, weapons or drugs, or to get rid of a stolen car.
New Year 2005 – WILLOWFIELD, SAN ANDREAS
The Bredda's have existed for almost 10 years now and now they were just some who were there. They were just there; South Marina was Rastafarian place now. They earn money by selling, smuggling, producing cannabis. Sell, smuggle cocaine and sometimes rob a bank or two. They have secret greenhouses for the cultivation of cannabis around the San Andreas and have people to sell it everywhere.
Now - Marina, SAN ANDREAS
They are always easy to know, especially on their African clothing, reggae music, cars and their special English where "wha ah Gwann" means Whats going on and "wa mek" is, How come, Why.
If you come down past South Marina, do not be afraid to ask if there is opportunity to gain some hash for you, they are happy people and are always ready to do business. There is always a chance of a gang confrontation and that means Marina is guarded by a large force armed guards. If other gangs try to attack, they will always be ready to defend the area. They are strong in their faith and will always protect another brother or sister no matter what.
Territory
The Bredda's territory is self-proclaimed, and containing the limits is a Studio, a shop and a lot of houses.
People entering the centre must be prepared that there will be people who scout around the streets keeping an eye on one and likely strong-armed.
There are a few rules you must follow in The Bredda's,
we assume you agree with them, when you come and contact us.
1. You must have a rasta like skin for your character.
2. No deathmatch, it will absolutely not be tolerated.
3. Do not jump around and behave stupid, be realistic.
4. You must own a cellphone.
5. You must help your neighbors (breddas) if they get into trouble, no matter what.
6. You must be active on the server
7. You must be a good roleplayer.
8. You must know all the server rules.
9. Do not fool around OOC under an RP mission or another RP event.
10. You should preferably be in Level 3 or above.
You can join even if you are below Level 3, It just requires you have good RP experience.
