Confusion with /free

Hey guys, Feeny here :)

I love this server, and I'm looking to progress in my Lawyer career - however, I can't seem to use the /free command correctly.

Firstly, I've had contrasting opinions on where I can use the skill. Can I use it anywhere (I think that's what it says in the wiki), or can I only use it in the jail where the player is being held?

Even if I do visit the jail, it tells me that "(the player) cannot be freed". Is this something to do with the lack of bail? The game instructs me to visit people at their prisons, but when I arrive, I can't do anything to help them. I notice that sometimes people are held at "Fort Demorgan", which might be where I can help release people from, but I don't even know where that is!

Can someone help me?

Its a bail in jail
But in demogrand none can set anyone free.

I've been on the server a lot, but I've never seen a bail on somebody in jail. Does it rarely happen?

Cops are meant to give bail, most of the time they do. The reason a lot of jail customers don't have bail is because they log to avoid arrest, or are jailed for debt, or are jailed for logging while tied. In all these cases, the server jails them and does not give them bail.

You can actually /free a player from anywhere on the server, however the reason you ask to get let into the cells ( something that is very easy in fort carson ) is so you can get the money from them first.

Actually cops almost never give bail, just a fun fact. But for all of the times that I remembered to ask the cop to enter a bail, I have gotten one.

I wish they did - would make ranking up much easier, because it's almost impossible atm

This is just what i do but i will usally put in bail if they cooperate, if they are complete shit heads (like 90% of the time) then no bail.

Thanks to all the guys who have given constructive input This is a setback but its about consitant progress and longevity Its a lifestyle not a hobby and I will be focused an being the best I can be physicaly regardless
