/mask

Well i must say, it's impossible to kidnap a cop/player without getting su'd/revengekilled.
A /mask cmd that would hide a mercenary's name for 2 minutes, with a 10 minute cooldown would be awesome.

the mask thing would be great, except that silver is right people would use it to dm

maybe if strict rules where implemented with it such as what i saw in other server where it just changes your name to mask217832 so if you where breaking any rules people could report on forms and admins could check logs to see who it was, and you could only buy it if you where level 10 and over and only for a merc another + to this is that it would help hide hitman's identities.

Giving a Mask [id] to someone would be actually smart, but we all know silvers have access to this kind of information and boy we don't want him mad

I'm not opposed to this with a unique 'mask id'

I think people won't be any more or less inclined to DM with a mask than without one, honestly. People said gun drops would increase DM, and it hasn't had a significant effect in that regard.

Then again, I've been known to overestimate our playerbase.

There are two ways to do this, the simplest way is to change the players name temporarilly to 'Stranger01', that way you would still see their playerid and health / armor. I could disable cops /su and everyones /find while in this state. This way players could still use /pay, /tie /w and all other commands. While wearing a mask, all the players text and emotes would say Stranger01 instead of their name.

The other way is to disable the players nametag, and put 3D text above their head, but I don't like this way.

The players ID will be the same, so any bans / warnings / jails will still be attributed to the correct account
I will also add an admin command to reveal their true identity.

I think what his point was......change the id of the guy, so that people don't just look at the stranger's id, wait for the mask to wear off, than see who it really is.

I've also thought about adding a mask on the player's head, i saw helmets on some stunt server..
One more thing: if the player's name would be changed rather than make it invisible, then make sure it returns to normal while logging/timeouting and shits. And make it cost at least 20k..drops on death and stuff, just like the blindfold.

Same thing should happen to blindfolds.

This will definitely get more TDM going as those guys with 50000 people ready to hunt you to extort 1mil after you kill one of them won't be able to track you down. I'll kill magc all day long.
