20 hour automatic namechange

When you reach 20 hours total (enough for level 3,) a prompt will ask you if you'd like to change your name free of charge. You can decline, but you'll never get another chance to change your name.

I don't see the point to this at all.

Maybe if you make it for when you hit level 10 because people at level 3 might not want to change their name/theme or whatever yet.

the point is that people join the server and aren't used to things yet. they'll probably make a few enemies and this gives them a chance to escape their past and get a name for their gang, if they've joined one.

I think 20 hours on the server is long enough to decide what you want to RP from then on, so it is the best time to put the name change if this is added.

This is a good idea, reminds me of how in some RPG's after you finish the first level you get one chance to change your character's attributes before you're stuck with them for the duration of the game.

This is very correct. Players should be forced not to hunt newcomers 24/7 instead of giving the newbies a little chance to avoid it and then get fucked up with their brand new name by somebody else.

It would be quite easy to add an option to change your own name once only while your playing hours are less than 20

i know i made 2-3 new names when i started way back when because of fundamental misunderstandings in how i should behave (such as killing vagos on sight as a balla)

part of the reason for the namechange is so people can escape their past if they so choose. the city hall registry would be good if the change wasn't intended to let them get away with what they've done.
