Retrieving info... Problem connecting

Post by Agnfolie »

Even thou bug reports seems to be a server side bug reporters board I seem to have no other place where this post would fit.

Yesterday I was playing and everything worked great untill my wireless laptop connection crashed. I was disconnected from the server and when I got everything up and runing again I couldn't connect to SZR server. Every other server works.
I have tried readding the server to favorites but all I get is:
(Retrieving info...) 64.120.76.236:7777
0/0 players
Ping: 0

I have reinstalled GTA and SAMP. Cleared the registry and removed all samp configuration files.
Anyone know anything about this or perhaps you have experienced it?

EDIT*
Have restarted the computer several times now aswell.

You are an idiot, if you can't give a proper answer then just ignore the thread.
Just because he can't receive the server information, it doesn't mean he's banned.

Try deleting gta_sa.set in your GTA San Andreas userfiles folder(usually located in the documents folder)
If that doesn't work, try re-installing SA:MP.
And if that doesn't work, run SA:MP as admin(Right click on SA:MP then click "Run as Administrator")
If it still won't receive the server information, then I can't help you.

Tried but no go.

What ive done today:
removed entire folders associated with GTA SA and SAMP restarted computer and the reinstalled both.

Running samp on my laptop I can see the server aswell. Weird stuff... To me it sounds like som kind of file or registry error.

Try running the game from a different windows user. I had this problem a couple of years ago, that fixed it.

Another suggestion would be scanning through your firewall settings. Maybe some information got messed up at the crash. If that doesn't fix it, than :/

Had several times. Now I fixed it with a complete reinstall of the system. Was time anyways.
