Computer Stuff please help.

So I got this video card from a friend and I installed it but when I turned it on its still saying "No input signal" "Monitor going to sleep". Please help.

what card
what port
what is your motherboard
what is your bra size
what are your general system specs - do dxdiag in "Run"
what did you do with it? place it next to the computer? plug it in?

Go on and try if the graphics card actually warms up when your computer is on, if it does : Your monitor has a problem, or : the port where the VGA cable goes is fucked.
Also you might want to test if it works with another cable.
Did the card actually work before you got it?

My computer screen did that when my card was fried

It's usually down to the compatibility of the card with the motherboard. Unless the card is fried, ye.
