Well, I don't know if this already possible, but I'll suggest it anyways.
If no one claims a point within 10-20, then the point goes down as 'unclaimed'
It would avoid having many points coming up at the same time. Plus, this way admins won't have to be resetting the points when a point goes unclaimed for a long period.
