Pina colada gas station air fresheners
Moonshine and Poly-Grip
Year-old retreads that gave it up
About sixty miles ago
Pound down the road,
Wild eyes scanning the
Fog-soaked horizon
Looking for the next exit sign number
Vagrant, itchy
Meth-fueled men
Lonely, twitchy
Desperate men
Clutching the wheel in their leathered fists
Making violent highway love
To their massive pavement-hungry machines
The Road Kings are a cooperative of San Andreas' card-carrying Groupsters Local 630, affiliated directly with the International Brotherhood of Groupsters, the largest truck driving union in the country. On the surface, they are hard-working citizens striving to make a decent living on the lonely roads, bringing the commerce and trade necessary to fuel our consumerist society.
In reality, the world of transit and shipping is anything but honest. Organized crime, drugs, murder and dirty money fuel the tanks of the big rigs as much as petrol or diesel. As unions became organized and powerful, the criminal element almost immediately materialized and became an inseparable part of the industry. A once-proud American tradition is now the realm of the new breed of Truckers, who push the limits of the human body and mind in their frantic race to the Drop at the end of the line.
These are the drug-crazed lunatics with an oversized load to pull and a short deadline to do it in. A fleet of mammoth Paulbilts spitting guts and hellfire as their engines scream murder, hurling the giant masses of steel and canvas-covered haul down the highway. The lead driver froths at the mouth as he pops his last handful of pills and settles in for the last brutal leg. A thousand chicken-fried steak dinners, mountains of cheap-brand cigarette butts, truckstop laundry cakes, sleeper berths in Burgershot parking lots, two dollar whiskey shots and twelve dollar whiskered whores. A million miles of road, their road, and all that matters is driving that rig to the final drop. Stay the fuck out of the way.
This gang will be RP-oriented, involved with running illicit materials, organizing convoys and expeditions, offering roadside assistance and car removal/retrieval(stolen or otherwise) and even hopefully getting involved in politics through Groupster-endorsed candidates. We will also be involved in points battles and try to focus on interesting new ways of conflict resolution, and maybe get some mutually fun car chases with the LSPD on occasion. We will, of course, use Semi-trucks almost exclusively and having 2-3 levels in Wheelman for each member will be highly encouraged if not required. Most of our core are ex-OSB and any of our old members who want to join are welcome.
Radios should be tuned to K-Rose or K-DST at all times.
